The SUMAC Enterprises Way

SUMAC is Stories Uniting Minds and Cultures. Each leaflet of the sumac bush is necessary for the full leaf of the plant. Each one signifies an arena of life to explore. All are connected in order to give life.

Fred and Ross Shaw developed SUAMC as learning experiences of history and the natural world for ages 4 through 104 using first-person, historically accurate interactions and demonstrations.

Fred or Ross will present to your group on their Shawnee history, cowboy history, or any other of several historical topics. See their individual pages for more information.

Living History

On Your Site

As individuals, together or as a part of one of the living history organizations to which they belong, Fred and Ross can share camp or home life over multiple days. Camping and cooking gear appropriate for the given time period are utilized, skills are demonstrated, and horses can be incorporated as well.
